10 years ago Kara and I were camping at Gardom Lake on the annual Baker/Aylard campout. Mark and Sue had just returned from being missionaries in Papua New Guinea, most of our friends were just married but not too many kids around yet. Kara was huge and ready to have Brenden. I had caught a really nice trout that day so was excited to try my luck again. She really didn't want to sleep in the tent that night and you just don't argue with a woman in that state so we stayed in Salmon Arm instead. We spent most of the night at the hospital and Brenden was born the next morning. Now 10 years later, Mark is the engineer and we are the missionaries. Here is a shot of Brenden's birthday party. We thought it was fitting to have a campfire and wienie roast.
Boy oh boy, do I remember that weekend! and the birth of our second grandbaby boy!! (so does Ruth Brighouse, Kara - she was so pleased to have been on call that weekend!) Happy Birthday to Brenden!! We are counting the days!! Love Grandma (Mom)xoxoxo
